I'm Wren, Your Local Godmother.

I'm a human made of many threads, but the one which binds them together: art is at the heart of the eARTh. I believe that to stand on a stage and share your story is a social rite of passage we all deserve. If all people recognised this as a threshold into a chapter of adulthood, experience and life, I truly believe the world would embody more compassion.

It is through this philosophy which I curate celebrations, ceremonies, storytelling events, and private mentoring — all of it centred on the heart, and on the stories we leave behind. I'm a celebrant, an MC, and a national award-winning poet. Add to that: ex–high school educator, TEDx speaker and facilitator. Most recently, I worked with The Man Cave as their first-ever female facilitator, sitting with teenage boys in schools and helping them find words for what they carry. I've performed for and worked alongside tens of thousands of students and community members, and my poems have been commissioned across the country and the world.

My proudest work is through Wordcraft - my open mic event which has mentored audience members from first-time nerves into published, performing writers. It’s here I discovered my role as Godmother, a woman at the threshold for you to discover the spell that lives within. This is the purpose that drives my practice.

Deeply, my passion is holding space for conversations, explorations and celebrations of the nuanced humanity we forget we share. My bookings are available for MC work, storytelling events and celebrancy will open in 2027.

It is the utmost pleasure of my humanity to make art with you. I look forward to connecting, and to seeing how our stories find each other.
