Currently hosting and producing the first season of the BIBA Hairdressing Student Showcase - where hairdressers in training celebrate their creativity on stage by styling with teams and models to runway for their peers and teachers.
The winning stylist will travel to London to experience Vidal Sassoon’s prestigious training, flights and accommodation included.

mentoring pathways
Wordcraft began as an open mic — and became something more. As a mentor, I endeavour to support you move from fear to celebration. Every creative, writer, human, deserves the guidance to turn a first draft, or a first time on stage, into real craft.
I mostly work with aspiring and emerging writers — from first-timers finding the courage to share, through to those ready to be published or perform professionally. Whether it's shaping a poem for the page, coaching delivery for the stage, or simply having someone believe in the work before you do, my mentoring draws on years building Wordcraft as both a stage and a community — and on my own path as a national award-winning poet and performer.
As an educator and facilitator, I'm driven by one thing: helping young people discover that their voice matters. The open mic is a mini rite of passage — every young person deserves safe passage to expression, and the chance to be heard exactly as they are.
I work with creative young people who have a keen interest in exploring their art, as well as those who don't yet see themselves as "writers" or "performers" — because often, that's exactly where the most valuable work happens. I work with all genders, drawing on my experience as a teacher and facilitator — including my work with The Man Cave, where I was their first-ever female facilitator working with teenage boys in schools.
Aspiring to Published is for you if you know you have a book in you — even if you don't yet know how to get it there. This is where we turn scraps into something whole. Together, we find the book inside the fragments, then, depending on where you are in your process, craft a mentoring program to meet you on the other side all the way to publication.
It's a monumental achievement, publishing a longform work — and I have a range of ways to get you there, so we can talk through what pathway actually fits your work and your life. Don't let money get in the way of making your art: if budget is a barrier, come speak with me, and let's make it work.
