MISTRESS OF CEREMONIES AND FOUNDER OF THE WORDCRAFT OPEN STAGE
Since lockdown, we have been facilitating open mic stages for all of our voices.
We welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, colours and character to gather in harmony and revel in the joy of our stories.
On our stages, we celebrate our humanity, raw and in process. People of all walks of life share poems, stories, songs and truthful reflections on their lives, loves and losses.
We have been through many waves and tumbles as a collective and believe deeply in striving towards are healthier humanity.
All levels of experience are welcome. We have a range of segments that alternate every show, so you never know what’s coming. Like life xx

STAGECRAFT
An exclusive opportunity for Wordcraft Writers to be coached live, on stage — 1:1 clients only.
Not a workshop. Not a critique on paper. This is hands-on, in-the-moment coaching — refining your delivery, your presence, your voice — while you're actually on the mic.
A rare opportunity not offered at any other open mic.
Stagecraft is exclusive to my 1:1 clients as part of our work together.
LIBBY LAMB
Audience member → Wordcraft regular → self-published author → facilitator.

HOMEWORK OVER JAZZ
- this is where you contribute to the show, even if you’re here only to receive. We share these slips on stage and play with what comes up.
People share about writing, art,
creativity and expression in live conversation throughout the show.
DECEMBER’S KARAOKE
We have a range of segments with which we rotate and experiment. Come join us August 25th for our next Season at Bar 303 in Northcote!

Reimagine What’s Possible
As an award-winning poet and literary judge, this is where my craft becomes your gift. Every poem I make on the day is born from the room itself — the conversations, the speeches, the energy in the air — distilled into a piece of art you get to use as further content.
Art that celebrates the work and the people who live it.
Tedx Maldon - Rethinking the Purpose of Cancel Culture
A culture is alive. Each mindset, each action either nurtures or starves it. In the height of cancel culture, the act of mass shaming someone due to their socially unacceptable actions, young people are reporting more and more their fear of ostracisation. What is its antidote? How does being cancelled impact a person? What does a culture of this nature socially and psychologically do to us? It’s time to ask these questions and explore how we as leaders step up for our youth and feed the culture we want to leave behind.
Melbourne City
‘Feel the Sound.’
From my archives -
This eight-minute drone show ran in Victoria Harbour in 2022. ‘Melbourne, Feel the Sound’, is a poem about emerging into our lives again and rediscovering Melbourne, by local artist Ren Alessandra, winner of the National Poetry Slam 2020. The unique aerial display was developed by drone art company Celestial. Summer Nights Drone Show was presented by City of Melbourne with support from the Victorian Government and Development Victoria.
Proudly, this poem was a first draft written in a surge of pride and excitement to write for my home city emerging from lockdown.
The Council bought immediately and the whole experience was deeply affirming.
